Renaissance Europe thrives thanks to a balanced partnership between public and private stakeholders
Become part of a European policy network connecting policymakers, executives, investors, academics and leaders from strategic sectors.
The Renaissance Europe Institute is built around a balanced partnership between public, private and institutional stakeholders committed to Europe’s strategic future.
Our membership model supports independent research, high-level policy debate and long-term institutional development while protecting our core principles: independence, professional integrity and intellectual objectivity.
Through publications, policy events, private briefings, roundtables and public debate, the Institute aims to create a serious European discussion space for leaders interested in strengthening Europe’s economic, industrial, technological and geopolitical position.
In a context where Europe faces rising geopolitical competition, industrial fragmentation, energy insecurity and defence dependence, joining the Renaissance Europe Institute Membership Programme allows members to engage at the highest level of European policy discussion — and to contribute to shaping the Institute’s agenda for years to come.
Membership is not a subscription. It is a professional relationship, structured to reflect the nature and interests of each member. Interested parties are invited to contact us directly to discuss the appropriate format.
Membership and independence
The Institute’s independence is non-negotiable and applies equally to members and donors. No member, at any level, reviews, conditions, or delays any piece of research before publication. Engagement covers research scope — not conclusions, findings, or publication decisions. This distinction is enforced by the editorial policy and reviewed annually by the Board.
What membership provides

Membership at the Renaissance Europe Institute is not structured around fixed-price packages. Each membership arrangement is discussed directly between the Institute and the prospective member or organisation, to ensure that the format of engagement is appropriate to both parties.
Interested parties are invited to send a proposal or expression of interest, and a member of the Institute team will be in touch to arrange an initial conversation.

Frequently asked questions
Who is membership open to?
Members may include companies, public institutions, foundations, investors, academics, policymakers and leaders from sectors such as energy, defence, technology, finance, infrastructure and industry. Every application is reviewed individually by the Membership Committee.
How is the membership format determined?
There is no fixed pricing structure. Interested parties contact us directly and we discuss the appropriate membership format together — taking into account the nature of the organisation or individual, their interests, and how they wish to engage with the Institute's work.
Does membership confer any editorial influence?
No. Membership, at any level, confers no editorial influence whatsoever. The Institute's core principles — independence, professional integrity and intellectual objectivity — are non-negotiable and apply equally to all members.
How does membership differ from being a donor?
Members receive structured access to research, fellows, and events, and engage formally with the Institute's policy network. Donors support the Institute's financial independence. Many members also choose to donate; these are treated as separate contributions and governed by the same editorial independence rules.
What is the vetting process?
All applications are reviewed for professional standing, genuine engagement with European policy, and alignment with the Institute's independence standards. Where there is a credible risk of undue influence on research, membership will not be confirmed.
Can membership be declined or revoked?
Yes. The Institute reserves the right to decline applications or revoke membership where independence, integrity or objectivity could be compromised. This applies at any level of engagement.
